#Showbiz: Moving to Malaysia was the best decision I ever made, says Rhys William

KUALA LUMPUR: After eight years of living in Malaysia, social media personality and vlogger Rhys William feels more at home here compared to United Kingdom which is his country of origin.

In an Instagram entry yesterday, the 29-year-old shared a photo from the first night he arrived in Kuala Lumpur, after having had a plate of fried noodle from a stall outside his hotel in the city.

"On Sept 13, 2013, after having sold everything I owned, I came to this country with only one suitcase with me.

"I arrived in Kuala Lumpur late at night on Sept 14. Despite not knowing what will happen to me here, I was only certain of one dream, to live in Malaysia.

"Eight years later, I'm grateful for what I have now, a career that I love and happily married with one kid. I truly felt welcomed here, and Malaysia has become 'home' to me, even though I'm still a British citizen," read William's caption in Malay.

William burst onto the social media scene here with his blog "Mat Salleh Cari Makan", speaking in perfect Malay as he reviewed an array of local and traditional dishes.
