#Showbiz: Covid-19 positive Maria Tunku Sabri's lungs affected

KUALA LUMPUR: Covid-19 positive former host of popular TV3 show Jalan Jalan Cari Makan, Maria Tunku Sabri, has asked for people to pray for her safe recovery as there has been an increase presence of bacteria in her blood which is starting to affect her lungs.

The 51 year-old TV personality has been receiving treatment at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) Covid-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre in Serdang since five days ago.

In a post on her Instagram account, Maria said that although her blood pressure and oxygen levels were normal, her blood test results showed a bacterial infection.

"I apologise for not updating anything on IG for the past few days. I've been feeling tired and needing rest.

"I need enough rest to recover, aside from refraining from talking too much as it would make me cough.

"My blood and oxygen levels are great. It's just that the blood test shows that there has been an increase presence of bacteria  in my blood, which has started to affect my lungs.

"So please pray for me for a quick recovery in order for me to return to my beloved family," she said in a short video clip that was posted on Instagram.

Maria also asked for her followers, family members and friends to forgive any of her shortcomings.

"I am sorry if there was anything that I had done wrong. To all the viewers, family members and friends, forgive me if there was. I forgive everyone as well," she said.

While holding back tears, she added: "Till we meet again."

Maria was rushed to MAEPS five days ago via ambulance after recording a very low blood pressure reading, experiencing rapid heartbeat and fever, three days before she could complete her self-quarantine.

Previously, Maria and her husband had tested positive for coronavirus and they were placed as Category 2 patients which meant they only displayed mild symptoms or none at all.
