#Showbiz: Early collection for Siti docu-film to be donated to flood victims

KUALA LUMPUR: The early collection for the documentary film Siti: Are You Ready? which will air on Astro First on Dec 30 will be channelled to those affected by the recent floods.

Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin said that that was the least she and executive producer Shiraz Projects could do in light of the current situation.

"This is a gift for the end of 2021 from Shiraz Project and Siti Nurhaliza Productions.

"The early collection from Astro First will be donated to help those affected by the floods.

"So whoever that watches this upcoming combination of a documentary and concert will indirectly have contributed to aiding the flood victims," she said in a news report today.

The documentary directed by M Azhar Rot and Anz Izwan features onstage and backstage footage, live performances and behind-the-scenes stories from her Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza On Tour concert series which saw her performing in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia in 2018.

Talking about the 80-minute documentary film, Siti said that it would provide a glimpse of her as a singer, mother and wife.

"These are true stories, situations and events that were recorded and edited into a one-hour-and-twenty-minute showcase from the actual close to six-month tour," she said.

Apparently, the producers had to narrow it down to 80 minutes from a total of 72 hours of footage.

"I see these as my precious moments to be immortalised. I had put a lot of heart and love into it and most importantly I was supported by many great people in my life that made this Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza On Tour concert series a success.

"The documentary is also to show the public that a singer is more than just an entertainer. I hope people out there will see this film as something that inspires not only the younger generation of entertainers but also women who are mothers," she said.
