KUALA LUMPUR: Proud to see his fellow countryman emerging as the champion of the recently concluded singing competition Gegar Vaganza Season 8 (GV8), Datuk Aaron Aziz reminds Aliff Aziz not to wallow in the past, but to keep on striding ahead.
In a recent post on Instagram, the 45-year-old star of Gerak Khas Undercover drama series congratulated Aliff following his win.
"Congratulations, Adik. I'm proud of you. I know you can do something great and accomplish something not only for yourself, but also for your wife and children.
"Remember what I said to you earlier. Don't look back, but only look forward if you want to advance in life," he wrote.
He added: "As the family head, what you gain is not for yourself, but also for your family.
"Praise be to God for giving you this chance to rise again and make a great comeback.
"Always stay humble and stay away from toxic people," Aaron reminded the 30-year-old Aliff, who beat five others on Sunday to win the title which comes with a cash prize of RM100,000 and a trophy.
In the past, Aliff was involved with several controversies and had also spent two weeks behind bars in Singapore after he was found guilty of theft and behaving indecently in public.
