KUALA LUMPUR: Asia's most dedicated music platform JOOX today introduces the Karaoke function in ROOMS for users who want to unwind and sing while hanging out with the cheering audience.
In a statement today, it said that users might also stand a chance to win a special prize by completing Karaoke ROOMS missions during this launch period.
"Music fans have always enjoyed sharing their beloved tunes and hits from their favourite artistes among their friends and family.
"As part of our commitment to cater to the needs and demands of music enthusiasts all over Asia, we are excited to roll out the new Karaoke ROOMS feature, which will not only allow users to chat, hang out and bond with the people close to them, but could also now add the fun factor by having a karaoke session," said JOOX's senior vice president Poshu Yeung in the statement.
Users can either join a Karaoke ROOMS or create their own and start inviting friends to join in the fun.
ROOMS' hosts can swiftly switch from chat mode to Karaoke mode as and when they want, and they are allowed to invite anyone into the ROOMS to join in the fun.
Each singer can request three songs per person and up to 50 songs per room at the same time — so that everyone can take turns under the spotlight.
