#Showbiz: Liza Rafar collapses on set from anxiety attack

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Liza Rafar was rushed to Putrajaya Hospital yesterday after collapsing on the set of her new drama series Amanat Wasiat Sumayah.

Her younger sister and fellow actress Diana Rafar said that she had just recovered from Covid-19, and had suffered an anxiety attack.

"She is suffering from the effects of long Covid, and the length of filming every episode has made her breathless," said Diana in a news report today.

Diana said that the production team informed her about her sister's condition, and she subsequently visited Liza in hospital.

"Liza is back at home resting now. The doctor said she has to be closely monitored. If her condition gets worse we have to send her back to hospital," said Diana, adding that it was her sister's worst anxiety attack to date.

Diana and her family members were found to be Covid-19-positive two weeks ago, and she has yet to regain her appetite.

"Even though our quarantine period is over, I still have the occasional breathing difficulties. My appetite isn't that good, and I sometimes throw up," she said.

Liza, who last suffered an anxiety attack in August 2019, is best known for starring in the film Jogho directed by U-Wei Saari.
