#Showbiz: 'I'll be moving to Singapore next year' - Azah Aziz

KUALA LUMPUR: After 21 years living in Montreal, Canada, popular 1990s actress Azah Aziz will be moving to Singapore next year.

Azah, whose real name is Norazah Aziz, announced this on her Instagram account yesterday, in a brief video clip that showed her being interviewed by an entertainment reporter.

"If all goes well I will be moving to Singapore with my family next year, and we will be staying there for a few years," she said in the interview.

Azah added that she was still being offered film and drama roles in Malaysia and Singapore, even though she had been "staying away from showbiz" for 25 years.

"Many people have asked me to make a comeback to acting. God willing, I will consider it, but the roles must be suitable, I'm no longer 20-something!" she said.

Azah thanked fans in Malaysia and Singapore for still remembering her "all these years".

"I'm surprised many fans of Malaysian entertainment still remember me fondly. Thank you all for your love and support."

Netizens expressed delight that Azah was returning to the region, and hoped that she would appear in Malaysian or Singaporean television programmes.

"Wow! You still look the same all these years, Kak Azah," said Rosli.

"So happy to hear that you're coming back," said Zainal.

Azah, 49, is married to Daud Leroy and has three sons Aaron, Ryan and Justin.

They previously lived in France and the United Kingdom, before migrating to Canada in 2000.
