KUALA LUMPUR: For this festive season, Universal Music Malaysia has recently launched a line-up of songs under the theme "Raya All Out", one of which is the newly-arranged evergreen Raya song by the late Datuk Sudirman Arshad — Balik Kampung.
The popular tune, with the lyrics describing one's happiness returning to his hometown to celebrate Hari Raya with family and loved ones, has been given a hip hop touch by Kmy Kmo, Luca Sickta, Siqma, Asyraf Nasir and Yonnyboii.
The song has been re-arranged by rapper Luca Sickta, who is also its producer.
"Yonnyboii also helped me in writing the rapping part which we added to the classic song," he said in a press statement.
He hoped that the song would accompany listeners in their journey to return home for the festivities.
Having previously collaborated together, the five artistes said that recording the song was a smooth and short process.
The song is now available on streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, KKBOX, Deezer and YouTube Music, while the lyric video can be viewed on Def Jam Malaysia YouTube channel.
