KUALA LUMPUR: Popular South Korean actors Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon have become first-time parents after Park gave birth to a baby boy yesterday.

According to Soompi, the 32-year-old actress is in good health after safely delivering the couple's new bundle of joy at a hospital in Seoul.

The good news was announced by Park's agency SALT Entertainment in a statement, which read: "We are sharing news that actress Park Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a hospital in Seoul today (May 31)."

It added: "Actress Park Shin Hye and her child are in good health and she is resting with the blessings of her husband, actor Choi Tae Joon, and her acquaintances."

The agency also thanked everyone who had offered congratulatory messages, warm blessings and support to the couple on their new journey in life together as a family.

Park, who has starred in various K-dramas and movies such as Memories Of The Alhambra, Sisyphus: The Myth, The Miracle In Cell No.7 and #Alive, started dating Choi, 30, in 2017.
