#Showbiz: Wings' second-night concert tickets sellout in 5 mins

KUALA LUMPUR: Legendary Malaysian rock group Wings has done it again as fans snapped up all the tickets to an added second-night concert at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) set for July 14 in just five minutes.

Previously, tickets to the initial concert presented by Shiraz Projects on July 15 as part of the Fabulous Friday series of shows at the prestigious hall in KLCC here were sold out in 15 minutes after going on sale.

Wings frontman Datuk Awie said that he was very grateful that the Wings concert has been so well received.

"Praise be to God. Thank you to our parents, families, media practitioners and supporters who have always solidly stood by Wings in good times and bad times.

"I hope that we will be protected from unwanted incidents, ill health and whatever else that could deter our performance over the course of the two nights.

"Wings will continue to strive to offer exceptional performances for all of our fans. Continue to pray for us and thank you again to everyone who has directly or indirectly been involved in the journey of Wings.

"Only God can repay your kindness," he said in a news report yesterday.

The rock singer added that the iconic band had already prepared a songlist for the two nights that included tunes never performed before.

Aside from Awie, fans will be able to see bassist Eddie and drummer Black, as well as guitarists Syam and Edrie Hashim in action together onstage during the shows.
