KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Vanidah Imran has tied the knot with national silat exponent Arifabillah Idris at noon today.
Their solemnisation ceremony was held at a wedding venue in Titiwangsa here.
With a single lafaz, Vanidah, 49, was pronounced the wife of Arifabillah, 43, who is also an engineer.
The solemnisation ceremony was led by Ustaz Muhammad Fairudz Saderi from the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi), with Vanidah's brother Johan as her guardian.
"Only those who are very close knew about our two-year relationship, including both my children Mikail Amran and Maryam Rashika," said the bride after the ceremony.
"Even some who are present here today were only informed a few days earlier about this nikah ceremony, and many of them were taken by surprise, but happy to learn about this union," added Vanidah whom had been a single mother after her divorce with actor Rashidi Ishak four years ago.
The ceremony was kept small and private, with only 50 family members and close friends in attendance.
