KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran singers from the 1980s Francissca Peter and Siti Fairuz have been awarded the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which carries the title Datuk.
The awards were conferred in conjunction with the 63rd birthday of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah, on behalf of the Sultan of Pahang, carried out the investiture ceremony.
A total of 99 individuals were conferred with awards and medals during the function which took place at Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan, Pahang yesterday.
Aside from Francissca and Siti Fairus, Pahang football chief coach Dollah Salleh, football coach Zainal Abidin Hassan and 24 others received the same award.
