#Showbiz: Hazami almost sold off his piano, trophies to make ends meet

KUALA LUMPUR: Affected like many others during the Covid-19 pandemic, singer-composer Hazami Ahmad had at one time considered selling off his piano and the various trophies he had won during his career.

"Like many, I had also been badly affected by the pandemic. Imagine not getting any job for two and a half years," said the 47-year-old artiste.

"I had to dig deep into my savings. When the pandemic period stretched beyond two years, much of my savings was gone," he said.

Hazami even failed to make rent for four months, but thankfully his landlord understood and allowed him to stay on.

"Fortunately things picked up in January, and I managed to settle all arrears," he told reporters when met at the press launch for new TV3 programme Terpaling Juara, held at PJPac, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, in Petaling Jaya today.

Hazami is one of the contestants in the show set to air on Aug 21. It also lines up Ifa Raziah, Rahmad Mega, Akim Ahmad, Naim Daniel and Hael Hussaini as contenders.
