#Showbiz: Bob Lokman's family receives RM75k to build his dream home

KUALA LUMPUR: The family of late legendary lyricist and actor Bob Lokman is grateful that they will finally get their own house soon.

Bob's widow, Relawati Daud, 42, said there was no better tidings than to hear that her late husband's wish of having their own home would soon be realised, thanks to public donation through Muslim Care Malaysia.

Relawati said she and her family were grateful that the organisation had come forward to provide a fund of RM75,000 for her family to use in the building of her husband's dream house.

"I'm glad that we are now able to finish off what was among Bob's last wishes. He began preparing the paperwork to build a house on this piece of land we own in Pasir Puteh, but sadly passed away before we could even start construction.

"So when I received a message from Zulkifli Wahijan, the president of the organisation, saying that they had managed to raise some funds, we couldn't express our appreciation and gratitude for the assistance they have offered," she said in the news report today.

Bob, whose full name was Mohd Hakim Lokman, died on Sept 23 at his home in Kubang Kerian, Kota Baru, Kelantan due to heart complications. He was 58.

He had been suffering from heart and kidney ailments for almost a decade.
