#Showbiz: Yonnyboii's big win a boost to his self-confidence [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: For singer-composer Yonnyboii, the big haul at the 23rd Anugerah Industri Muzik last month has boosted his confidence.

The 24-year-old hip hop star, who won Best Album for his debut effort titled Yonny (Deluxe Version), and the Digital Content Fund worth RM200,000 from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry, said the achievement had greatly helped him deal with low self-esteem.

"Previously, I always had doubts about myself and my own capabilities. This, in a way, is a reminder and a form of encouragement to push me to put out good work.

"No doubt, the achievement has opened more doors for me and I've been getting more offers to perform at shows," said Yonnyboii, whose full name is Muhammad Haqeem Nuriman Nor Azrin, at the launch of his new single titled Kecewa at a restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail here today.

The music video for Kecewa is available on the Yonnyboii YouTube channel.

The single will be included in his new album, on which he is currently working.

There is no exact date for the record release, but he said it needed to be wrapped up before next August, as stipulated in the terms and conditions of the funds.
