#Showbiz: Jamal leaves it up to fate on postponement of concert [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: After the recent postponement of his Oct 29 concert in Perlis due to the upcoming general elections, evergreen crooner Datuk Jamal Abdillah said that sometimes unforeseen circumstances cannot be avoided.

Choosing to go with what happens, he leaves it to fate as well as the organisers to decide on the best course of action.

"Of course I worry about these things, there's a lot of things at stake and a lot of people involved, but at the end of the day, what we cannot control we just have to leave it to fate.

"And I leave it to the organisers to be the best judge of what must be done," he said at a press conference to announce Konsert Gemilang Bersama Dato' Jamal Abdilllah in Residensi UTMKL here today.

The 120-minute concert, set to take place at the Grand Banquet Hall in Residensi UTMKL at 8.45pm on Dec 9, will also feature performances by his two sons, Osama Yamani, 20, and Zaki Yamani, 16.

"I can only pray that everything will go smoothly as planned," he added.

Organised by UTM Holdings Sdn Bhd and UTM Hotel & Residence, the upcoming concert is aimed at raising funds through UTM Endowment for underprivileged students of University Technology Malaysia, as well as to promote Residensi UTMKL as a multipurpose event space.

Tickets, priced at RM350, RM250, RM200 and RM150, can be purchased online via www.myticket.asia.
