KUALA LUMPUR: International K-Pop sensation BTS has hit another milestone with its popular song Butter hitting the 1 billion streaming mark on Spotify.
According to Soompi, the seven-member music outfit became the first Korean artiste to be part of Spotify's Billions Club after its 2020 hit tune Dynamite garnered over 1 billion streams on the platform.
Spotify announced the milestone yesterday on social media which makes Butter the second song by a Korean artiste to exceed the 1 billion threshold of streams for the popular streaming company.
BTS released Butter last year on May 21, which took the group less than a year and five months to reach the impressive 1 billion streams.
The tweet from Spotify today on the matter read: "No hotter, sweeter, or cooler way to celebrate Jimin's birthday than welcoming #BTS's #Butter into the #BillionsClub."
