KUALA LUMPUR: After going through a seven-hour major surgery to treat scoliosis, singer Zamani Ibrahim is reportedly going to be transferred to a normal ward soon.
Although the 51-year-old artiste is already conscious, he is still under close supervision by doctors.
"My husband is already conscious now and he is being closely monitored by the doctors," said Zamani's wife, Nur Juliana Abdul Rani, 39 in a news report yesterday.
She added: "I'm very grateful for the concerns expressed by family members, friends and fans who have been in touch to check on his condition."
Nur Juliana however apologised to everyone as Zamani would not be able to receive any visitors at the moment.
On Monday, Zamani was wheeled into the operation theatre at 8am and the procedure ended at 3.15pm.
