KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of K-Pop sensations BTS, Super Junior and NCT 127 will be able to get a deeper understanding of these popular music groups through new documentaries that are set to premiere next year.
According to Soompi, the announcement of these shows was made yesterday during the Disney+ event, 2022 Disney Content Showcase, in Singapore.
The event by the streaming service which previewed its list of content for the coming year included Super Junior: The Last Man Standing, NCT 127: The Lost Boys and BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star.
Super Junior's documentary is set to take fans through the history of the longstanding group which was established in 2005, as well as the overall K-Pop industry.
The documentary on NCT 127, a sub-unit of NCT, will focus on its recent successful world tours in North America and Japan.
It is also expected to take a deeper look into the boy band's story of growth, concentrating mainly on its members Mark, Johnny and Yuta.
Aside from BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, which will capture the premiere K-Pop group's meteoric rise to become pop icons of the 21st century, there will also be another documentary focussing on its member J-Hope.
Fans can expect the other documentary to feature the popular idol's preparation process for his latest solo album, Jack In The Box.
Although none of the release dates have been confirmed yet, all of the new material will be coming out next year on Disney+.
