#Showbiz: Marcell performs to full house at Zepp KL [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Indonesian singer Marcell Siahaan entertained a packed Zepp Kuala Lumpur of 2,000 people at his Marcell Dua Dekade – Live In Kuala Lumpur concert yesterday.

The two-hour concert which began at 9.15pm saw the 45-year-old crooner belting out his hit songs like Jangan Pernah Berubah and Peri Cintaku.

Others included Ketika Kau Menyapa, Sudahlah, Perih, Sesuka Hatimu, Bahasa Kalbu, Berhenti Berharap, Candu Asmara; and Takkan Terganti, which he dedicated to the late multi-talented artiste Adibah Noor.

Backed by eight musicians and three backup singers, Marcell performed Hanya Memuji, the song which introduced him to Malaysians 19 years ago.

He also took on songs popularised by Malaysian singers like Jasni Ahmad's Puteri Remaja and Search's Rozana.

The artiste whose full name is Marcellius Kirana Hamonangan Siahaan said he was glad to finally be able to perform in front of a live audience again.

"After two years of talking to people through phones and apps, it's good to be normal again," he said to the audience.

Also in the audience were VIPs who included Pahang's royalty Tengku Datuk Aishah Sultan Ahmad Shah and her family, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and wife, Datin Seri Norzieta Zakaria.

Also present was Marcell's wife, Singaporean actress Rima Melati Adams.
