#Showbiz: Super Junior marks its 18th anniversary with exclusive documentary

KUALA LUMPUR: In celebration of South Korea's K-pop band Super Junior's 18th anniversary, a new documentary about the band will be released exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on Jan 18.

The documentary, titled Super Junior: The Last Man Standing, follows the band from its beginning as Super Junior 05 and traces its record success, firstly across Asia and then the world.

Offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at Super Junior and the members — Lee Teuk, Hee Chul, Ye Sung, Shin Dong, Eun Hyuk, Dong Hae, Si Won, Ryeo Wook, and Kyu Hyun — this documentary features never-before-seen interviews.

It includes the group members looking back on their stellar career, recounting personal stories, which will provide fans and viewers with some insights of the group and its contribution to the K-pop industry and culture.

First announced as part of an expanded slate of local APAC content at the Disney Content Showcase in Singapore last month, the documentary is one of the lineup of Korean titles coming to Disney+ Hotstar soon.

Others include the sequel to Soundtrack #1, Soundtrack #2; Shadow Detective Season 2; and RACE.
