KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Anna Jobling was pleasantly surprised to find out that she is one of the most searched Malaysian celebrities on Google for 2022.
The 22-year-old artiste who is at No.7 on the list believes that the success of the TV3 drama Melur Untuk Firdaus was the main factor in generating interest in her.
"I was shocked to find out that I am among the 10 personalities with the most searches on Google Malaysia for this year.
"I am positive that this was due to positive development in my career. The drama Melur Untuk Firdaus really helped to bring my name up, aside from the strong support of fans from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and South East Asia.
"Being listed here is a very humbling experience and it never occurred to me that people would be searching my name online," she said in a Harian Metro report yesterday.
Anna added that the Google platform had given the opportunity to many in the country to get to know her and she promised to continue to work hard in the creative field.
"I believe that everyone uses Google to find more information about things and I am very grateful as it also motivates me to keep doing my best in my career.
"My management team, Mask Team, had also drawn up lots of plans related to my career. Praise be to God, all of it can be said to have succeeded. God-willing, I am planning to expand my reach to our neighbouring country of Indonesia next year," she said.
According to the data shared by Google, the local personality with the highest number of searches on its search engine went to the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
This was followed by the mysterious disappearance of TV3 personality Zalina Azman, with child actor Nik Adam Mika at No.6 and singer Yasin Sulaiman at No.10.
