#Showbiz: Double dose of rock by Masdo and The Changcuters delights fans at Zepp KL [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian rock and roll band Kugiran Masdo and Indonesian garage rock outfit The Changcuters thrilled some 2,000 fans at the Konsert Kugiran Masdo x The Changcuters at Zepp KL here tonight.

The two dapper-looking quintets delivered fun and energetic performances during the 180-minute concert, organised by Kugiran Masdo Empire (KME).

"When we started as a band we always dreamed of playing with The Changcuters, so it's a dream come true.

"To all the dreamers out there, keep on dreaming and make your dreams come true", said Masdo lead singer and rhythm guitarist Ali Sariah to the appreciative crowd of youngsters.

Completed by bassist Putuceri, drummer Azham Ahmad, lead guitarist Asmawi and keyboardist Chakam, the group delivered a catchy set of 10 songs.

These included Lautan Asmara, Berduka Lara, Kasih Dan Sayang, Dinda, Malam Pesta Rock N Roll and Bercanda Di Malam Indah, as well as a new song titled Inilah JalanNya.

The Beatles, Rolling Stones and 1960s Pop Yeh Yeh vibe continued with The Changcuters, made up of Tria Ramadhani on vocals, Muhammad Iqbal and Arlanda Langitan on guitars, with Dipa Hasibuan on bass and Erick Nindyoastomo on drums.

"Hello Malaysia! It's been too long, it's nice to see you all again.

"Last time we were here it was 2017, it's great to be back. Let's have a great night together!", yelled Tria, which got the crowd pumped up even further.

The band from Bandung that formed in 2004, performed around 13 edgy tunes including I Love U Bibeh, Hijrah Ke London, Akhirnya Indah, Suka-Suka and Gila-Gilaan.

The concert came to an end after the two bands performed four tracks together on stage, namely Racun, Miss Flowers Twist, Janji Manis and Main Serong.
