#Showbiz: 'Bullying can also happen on TV shows' – Fazley Yaakob

KUALA LUMPUR: Bullying can happen anywhere these days, including on reality TV shows, says celebrity chef and singer Datuk Fazley Yaakob.

The 44-year-old artiste was commenting on a recent incident during which a judge on a singing competition criticised a pair of contestants rather harshly.

"When this happens (on a TV show), the production team can't be blamed, except for the ones who made the harsh criticism themselves, without considering the contestants' feelings.

"Times have changed! Let's not get carried away to the extent where the ones being bullied lose their confidence and direction (or worse, God forbid, turn suicidal)," he wrote in an Instagram post recently.

Recently, a senior artiste who was one of the judges on a TV show, commented on the performance of the said duo during its weekly round (which was aired live).

However, many viewers felt that the judge should give constructive comments and not humiliate.
