#Showbiz: KJ can win Popular Radio Announcer, says AG

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is adapting well to his newfound job as a HotFM radio announcer one month down the road.

The 47-year-old former Rembau Member of Parliament said that he was enjoying his stint as a co-host of morning show Bekpes Hot alongside AG, Johan and Fara Fauzana.

Khairy joined HotFM on Feb 16.

"We discuss lots of issues with listeners, and it is great to engage with them. For example we had a great time discussing the start of the new school term with parents who had a lot to say," he said in an interview with Berita Harian Online yesterday.

Khairy or KJ also joined AG and Johan on a HotFM contingent visit to SK Taman Tun Dr Ismail 1 in conjunction with the start of the new school term.

Khairy said being a radio announcer enabled him to serve the people "in a different but significant way".

Meanwhile, AG said that he was impressed with Khairy's ability to handle the morning talk show despite being a "novice" in his job.

"Khairy does his work like a true professional and he is really good at it. I hope he gets nominated for entertainment awards and wins Popular Radio Announcer," said AG.
