#Showbiz: Andmesh writes songs based on personal experiences [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer-composer Andmesh Kamaleng says that when he writes songs, it is easier for him to draw from real experience, whether it is his own or of the person who he is composing the song for.

"All my songs have been inspired by true stories; my own personal stories," the 26-year-old Indonesian artiste shared with reporters at a press conference in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, earlier today to announce his upcoming concert next month.

The East Nusa Tenggara native admits that being a sensitive and empathetic person, drawing from real experiences would help him better in composing and writing songs with the perfect lyrics and melody.

"When it's translated right from the heart, then you'd be able to inject a song with proper emotion."

So, naturally some of his sad love songs, such as Kumau Dia, were composed and written when his relationship ended.

"But as a sign of respect, I do ask them first before I release the singles," said the crooner of the single Cinta Luar Biasa who never ended his relationship on bad terms.

"Although our relationship ended, I'm still grateful to those who were at one time close to my heart.

"The experiences shared with them... I hope it will make me a better person," said Andmesh who is set to perform at a concert here for the first time on June 4 at KLCC's Plenary Hall.
