KUALA LUMPUR: Actress, singer, and TV host Erra Fazira leaves it to fate when it comes to finding a soul mate.
The 50-year-old host of TV9's Nasi Lemak Kopi O programme said that she's not planning to find someone but does not discount the fact that there might be Mr Right in the future.
"I leave everything to Allah, if I am destined to meet my soul mate at the age of 60, I will accept it.
"But so far I haven't been looking, if there is then there is. I don't want to say too much, Allah can change my heart in an instant, and then I'll be busy looking," she said in a news report today.
Erra, who has been a single mother for 10 years, added that finding a life partner was not a priority.
"I'm happy with my life now, in fact, I never feel like anything is missing, anywhere. I don't necessarily require a partner to be happy and feel at peace.
"If living solo can provide peace, why not? I just want to enjoy this life whether I'm with someone or not. If there is, Alhamdulillah.
"But, if there isn't any, I'm okay and happy because there's no need to argue about things.
"In the past, I thought if I were to marry late, at what age would I want to have children? I thought about everything.
"But now, I leave it to fate and just 'go with the flow', I just want to live in peace," she said.
However, Erra said that she's never closed her heart off to getting to know another man and admitted to having a friend.
"We sort of know each other but being friends doesn't mean having to be together. Just pray for the best," she said.
Previously, Erra tied the knot with Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin on Oct 25, 2007, but divorced in Feb 2014.
They have a daughter named Engku Alessya Engku Emran.
