KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Fattah Amin has confirmed receiving a Letter of Demand (LOD) from his ex-wife, Nur Fazura, regarding the ownership of a vehicle that recently became a topic of controversy.
Fattah, 33, stated that the matter is now being handled by his lawyer, and he declined to provide further details, according to Berita Harian.
"Yes, I have received the LOD. This matter is in the lawyer's hands, and I have already provided a statement in court. I won't comment further," he said during a press conference for Fattah Amin X Sophia Albarakbah and Usanita Entertainment today.
The actor added that the LOD was received last month before his Umrah pilgrimage, but he was unsure of the exact date.
When asked about the content of the LOD, Fattah declined to elaborate, saying, "Sorry, I can't reveal it. I'll leave the next steps to my lawyer."
The vehicle in question sparked public interest after Fazura's lawyer issued a notice of claim.
Fazura previously mentioned that the car was a gift to Fattah.
However, Fattah clarified that he paid for it via monthly salary deductions.
Despite their divorce being finalised at the Petaling Jaya Syariah Lower Court on Oct 7, Fattah shared that they remain in touch through their personal assistants.
"There is still communication via PA, and that's all I can share. I also met my daughter, Fatima, before performing Umrah," he added.
Fattah and Fazura married on Nov 27, 2017, and divorced after nearly six years of marriage.
They have a four-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
Meanwhile, Fattah and actress Sophia Albarakbah are now ambassadors for Usanita Entertainment.
Both will star in the TikTok drama Aku Cinta Dia, directed by Erma Fatima, as part of a campaign to promote products from entrepreneurs under the Usanita brand.
