CANSURVIVE Centre Malaysia Berhad, a non-profit cancer charity organisation, will be holding its 11th international conference, "Holistic Healing from Cancer" on Sept 18.
The event will bring together a host of local and international speakers as well as people challenged by cancer and their families and friends.
The core theme of this year's conference is an "Integrative Approach to Cancer".
Cancer is a complex disease that begins as the uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells in a body part, with the potential to spread to other sites of the body (metastasising). Despite billions of dollars and decades of research poured into the war against cancer, an infallible cure for cancer remains elusive, and conventional methods come with a long list of side effects.
"Our efforts to support the healing journey of those affected by cancer is to create awareness of a holistic approach and the importance of embracing all modalities of treatment. This approach has proved powerful and provides great support to those who are on their healing journey," says CanSurvive president, Dr C D Siby.
The upcoming conference aims to provide extensive insights for people challenged by cancer, or those in remission, so they can augment their treatment plan to maximise their chances of a full recovery.
The speakers are from a diverse pool of highly qualified professionals from across the world, including Germany, India, Philippines, and Malaysia.
