2022 Honda RS150R enhanced with more power, new colours

KUALA LUMPUR: Boon Siew Honda kicked off March with some enhancements for its popular moped, the Honda RS150R.

It receives a host of new colours, namely Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue and Radiate Grey Metallic.

Not only that, the power output for the 149.2cc DOHC four-valve engine has been bumped to 15.8hp at 9,000rpm and 13.6Nm of torque at 7,000rpm - previously it was 15.4hp and 13.5Nm.

Thanks to a redesigned new muffler the single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine is now also Euro4 rated.

No change to the transmission though as it retains the six-speed gearbox and chain drive.

Elsewhere, the bike is equipped with a LED headlight, a digital speedometer display with various riding information, a 4.5-litre fuel tank, and 17-inch wheels with tyres measuring 90/80 and 120/70 front and rear respectively.

Disc brakes for front and rear are also standard, along with front telescopic fork, rear monoshock with preload adjustment and an electric ignition system.

The new enhanced Honda RS150R will retail at RM8,299 (on the road without insurance), which is RM100 increase over the 2020 model.
