Orders for Volvo Malaysia's 2022 XC40 Recharge Pure Electric now closed

VOLVO Car Malaysia announced that online orders for the 2022 XC40 Recharge Pure Electric (RPE) is now closed due to overwhelming response.

The company will begin taking orders again with the introduction of the 2023 model, once more details have been announced sometime soon.

Booking for test drive is still available on the brand's official webpage.

Volvo Car Malaysia's first locally assembled (CKD) fully electric vehicle (EV) has received over 400 orders to-date and over 120 units delivered to their respective owners nationwide since its local launched in March this year.

"The encouraging sales numbers is a stepping-stone to our all-electric journey," said Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Charles Frump.

"Just a couple of months ago we launched our first fully electric car and announced the local assembly of EV cars. We have started delivery of the cars to our customers since April, providing them with a vehicle that allows them the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way," he added.

Based on the XC40 compact premium SUV model, the XC40 RPE features a fully electric all-wheel-drive powertrain that offers a range of up to 418 km.

Priced at RM262,459.75 it is available in five colour options – Black Stone, Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue, Glacier Silver and Sage Green.

It comes included with a charging cable, service package (years/km), 5 years vehicle warranty, 8 years HV battery warranty, and 5 years roadside assistance.
