Modenas enters new bike segment with Kriss 125 Fi

MOTOSIKAL & Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Bhd, has unveiled its latest model, Modenas Kriss 125 Fi. 

The unveiling took place during Modenas Dealer Dinner and Awards 2024 last week, marking an exciting start to the new year for the company.

The introduction of Kriss 125 Fi signifies a major milestone for Modenas as the company enters a brand-new motorcycle segment for the first time in its 30-year history.

"This move underscores Modenas' continuous efforts to innovate and expand its product lineup to cater to a broader market," it said.

Kriss 125 Fi is priced at RM5,620 (without insurance and roadtax) and available at all Modenas authorised dealer showrooms nationwide.

Customers can choose between two vibrant colours namely Glacier Emerald Green and Graphite Grey, making it both stylish and practical for Malaysian riders.

The Kriss 125 Fi is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, four-stroke, two-valve engine that complies with Euro 4 standards.

With a displacement of 124cc, the model can deliver a maximum power output of 6.3 kW at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

The engine features a compression ratio of 9.3:1 and is equipped with both electric and kick-start systems.

Lubrication is managed through a pressure and splash system, with an engine oil capacity of 1.0L.

The Kriss 125 Fi comes with a 4.2L fuel tank and uses a reliable fuel injection system for efficient performance.

The launch solidifies Modenas' position as a dynamic player in Malaysia's motorcycle industry, he added.
