KUALA LUMPUR: Popular nasyid singer Hafiz Hamidun adds a milestone to his singing career with the launch of his own international recording companies, namely in Cairo, Egypt and Berlin, Germany, through the parent company Arteffects Sdn Bhd.
“The Cairo-based company will focus on recording and distribution to Arab countries such as Dubai, Turkey, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
“While the Berlin-based company will focus on the European market,” said Hafiz, 31, during a ceremony for the launch of his fifth and latest album, I Love Rasulullah, at The Royale Chulan Hotel here.
Hafiz added that his record label is currently home to two artistes: Egypt-born Mostafa Atef and German-born Issam Bayan.
They would cater to the Egyptian and German markets respectively.
“We look forward to scouting more vocal talents from various countries such as Turkey and India,” he added.
Hafiz said his latest release is a 9-song album that features the single, Penyelamat, which he described as “catchy, melodious and contains a good message.”
