Investigations into 'disco party' at police station ongoing

KUALA LUMPUR: Investigations into the "disco police station" incident involving the chief of a police station in Kajang, three of his men and four civilian women are still underway.

Selangor police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said two separate investigations are being carried out.

One, he said, was for criminal offences and the other was disciplinary.

"The investigations are ongoing and we are waiting for it to be completed before taking further action," he told a virtual press conference today.

On July 20, about 6pm, federal Integrity and Standard Compliance Department policemen raided the police station and found the station chief, who holds the rank of sub-inspector, two corporals and a support corporal, together with four civilian women aged between 21 and 37, dancing and drinking alcoholic beverages as well as ketum juice.

They were found in a room located on the second floor of the station.
