Najib's story on Arab donations 'nothing but a concoction'

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak's claims of receiving billions in Arab donation was nothing but a concoction, a three member panel of Court of Appeal judges ruled.

The judges, comprising lead judge Datuk Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil, Datuk Has Zanah Mehat and Datuk Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera, said Najib's claims of the Arab donations was "unbelievable".

Abdul Karim said High Court Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali had made such findings and they too could not believe the former prime minister's defence.

"We too find it unbelievable.

"If there were at all any personal donations there was no reason for it to be deposited in SRC accounts.

"The Arab donation story is nothing but a concoction," Abdul Karim said.

He also ruled that Najib's finger prints could be found in every wrongdoing involving SRC, right from the time the company was established.
