ALOR SETAR: With nondescript promotional terms such as "Trusted", "Cash by hand", "Bos mau pakej mana? (Which package do you prefer boss), a pimp in Sungai Petani turned to social media to get the word out on his home-based prostitution business.
Kuala Muda police busted the syndicate following the arrest of a man and two local women, believed to be involved in prostitution activity.
In a brief statement on its official Facebook page, Kedah police said the raiding team also detained four men believed to be customers during the raid.
According to the statement, the raid was carried out at a house in Sungai Petani.
"A local man admitted to have acted as pimp for the syndicate. He was arrested together with two prostitutes and four men, believed to be their customers.
"The syndicate has been promoting these immoral activities on social media," the statement said.
However it did not divulge details on the exact location and date of the raid.
The syndicate is believed to be offering their services at RM250 for the "VIP package" and RM300 for the "VVIP package".
