KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak's application to review the Federal Court's decision that affirmed his conviction and sentence in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case will be heard in January.

Deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Mohd Ashrof Adrin Kamarul said the Apex Court has fixed three days – Jan 19, Jan 20 and Jan 26, 2023, for the proceedings.

He said the dates were set during case management before Federal Court registrars Siti Hajar Mustaffa and Wan Fatimah Zaharah Yussof today.

DPP Datuk V. Sithambaram and Ashrof appeared for the prosecution while Najib was represented by Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, Syafiqah Sofian and Wan Arfan Wan Othman.

Ashrof said Najib had filed an application and exhibits going into seven volumes including certificate of urgency.

"Filing of submissions for both parties will be on or before Jan 4. The court also fixed Dec 2 for next case management," he said.

Najib's lawyer Muhammad Farhan Muhammad Shafee when contacted confirmed the dates.
