Two Thais nabbed with revolver, bullets and drugs [NSTTV]

PASIR MAS: Two Thai men were detained by the police in possession of a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver, 25 bullets and drugs, here, yesterday.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Nasaruddin M. Nasir said the drugs were 164 methamphetamine pills worth nearly RM2,000.

He said the two were arrested in a raid at a house in Kampung Rahmat near Lubok Setol.

"A police party from the district Criminal Investigation Department raided the house about 10.30am following public tip-offs.

"Upon checking, the policemen found the pills and the revolver. They then arrested the duo," he told reporters today.

Nasaruddin said initial investigations showed the two were involved in illegal activities along the border.

"Both suspects have no valid travel documents and had entered Kelantan via one of the many illegal jetties at the border.

"We believe the revolver was used by the two to protect themselves while carrying out these illegal activities," he added.

He said the two, aged 20 and 30, have been remanded to assist police investigations into the case.
