PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating an incident where a food delivery rider uttered harsh words and foul language to a woman in Glomac Centro here last Sunday (Jan 8), that had gone viral on social media.
Petaling Jaya District Police chief, assistant commissioner Mohamad Fahkrudin Abdul Hamid said that the 27 year-old victim lodged a police report on the incident at around 11.12am.
According to Fahkrudin, a video of the said incident showing the face of the food delivery rider uttering harsh words and foul language went viral on social media.
"The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code. Police are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the incident to come forward and aid in investigations," he said in a statement today (Jan 11).
Fahkrudin said those who have information on the incident can get in touch with the investigating officer Assistant Superintendent Low Eng Keong at 010-401 2069.
