IPOH: Two siblings were found drowned in a swimming pool here, yesterday.
District police chief assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said police were alerted to the matter at 6.10pm.
Yahaya said investigators found the siblings — a 9-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy — in the pool.
"They were taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here in an ambulance and were pronounced dead by medical staff.
"The post-mortem was conducted today and the cause of death is drowning," he said in a statement.
Yahaya added that police were investigating whether the siblings went to the swimming pool by themselves or with their parents.
