Muhyiddin arrives at KL court [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at the Jalan Duta courthouse around 8.40am.

He is scheduled to be charged at Sessions Court this morning under Section 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009 and Section 4(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001, today.

Clad in black suit, Muhyiddin was accompanied by his Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman and Bersatu leaders including Bersatu supreme council Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, the party's secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal and many others.

Muhyiddin's supporters who came in two busses arrived at the courthouse much earlier. They began chanting 'Bebas Abah!' at the sight of the car ferrying Muhyiddin into the courthouse.

Earlier, former Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun arrived at the courthouse around 8.15am, while Muhyiddin's children were seen walking in around 8.20am.

The gates leading to the lobby entrance of Jalan Duta court complex have been shut from public today, due to security purposes as the former eighth prime minister is expected to be charged here, today.

Muhyiddin is the third Bersatu leader that will be charged in Sessions Court, here, after the party former's information chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and Segambut division deputy chief Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad were charged for corruption last month.
