KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested four foreign men to assist in the investigation into a murder case involving a local fruit seller in front of a two-story terrace house in Taman OUG here, yesterday.
Brickfields district police chief ACP Amihizam Abdul Syukor said all the suspects, aged between 29 and 53, were apprehended at the scene at around 2.30am this morning.
He said the police received information about the incident at 7.40 pm from a witness who is a tenant at the location.
Amihizam said that police officers conducting the investigation at the scene found that the victim was an 80-year-old elderly person with several stab wounds on the body and face.
"The motive for the murder is still under police investigation," he stated in a press release today.
He added that all the suspects have been remanded for seven days until the following Tuesday to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
He mentioned that the police are still searching for another individual believed to be involved in the murder.
