PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak sprung a surprise when he made an unannounced visit to the 2017 Felda Settlers’ Day carnival at Dataran Putrajaya, Presint 3, here this evening.
A picture of the prime minister spending some time with the people at the carnival quickly made its rounds on social media channels.
A food truck operator, KPkopies, which sellls authentic kampung coffee, was one of the vendors Najib visited. The operator shared an image of Najib mingling with the people at the carnival.
According to officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Najib will be making more unannounced visits to the carnival.
The three-day 2017 Felda Settlers’ Day celebration, which began today, features several highlights including displaying the successes and achievements of the children of Felda settlers.
This year’s celebration is touted to be the biggest so far, with various activities including sales, exhibitions and performances by artistes from Felda land schemes.
