DG: Claims Tawau Hospital patients fed only once a day baseless [NSTTV]

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has denied claims that patients in Tawau Hospital have been provided with food only once a day.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry had investigated the allegations and found it to be false.

"This is not true. Tawau Hospital serves breakfast at 7am, lunch at 12pm, and dinner at 5.30pm. Hospitals under the ministry have a schedule for daily meals. So this is fake, and we hope the public will not spread this," he told reporters today.

A Twitter user today had claimed that Covid-19 patients warded in Tawau had only been given one meal a day.

"If they were given breakfast, they would not be given lunch. If they were given lunch, they are not given dinner," the user claimed.
