KUALA LUMPUR: Former New Straits Times journalist Datin Zarina Hafiz died due heart complications today.
Zarina, who retired from Astro Awani in 2015, died at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital at 8.20am.
News of her passing was confirmed by her husband Datuk Zulkifli Hassan, who is the former Sarawak Criminal Investigations Department chief.
"My wife, Zarina Hafiz, died on April 26, 2021 at 8.20am at HUKM due to heart complications.
"Her remains will be burried at the Muslim Cemetery at Section 21 in Shah Alam after the Zohor prayer.
"The special jenazah prayer for my late wife will be held at the surau of the Selangor police headquarters," he said in a WhatsApp message that was circulated among his and Zarina's friends.
