11 MBSJ staff positive for Covid-19

SUBANG JAYA: The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) headquarters will be closed today (May 3) after 11 of its staff tested positive for Covid-19 in the span of one week.

Subang Jaya mayor Noraini Roslan said the closure will make way for disinfection works to be conducted at their building and compound located on Persiaran Perpaduan in USJ 5.

"The infected staff are now being treated. All of their close contacts have undergone Covid-19 tests and ordered to self-quarantine in accordance with the procedures set by the Health Ministry.

"The new infections bring the statistics of positive cases in MBSJ to 36 recorded since last year.

"We are working with the Petaling health district office and taking proactive measures to ensure the health and safety of MBSJ staff and the community are protected," she said today.

Noraini added that the disinfection works will affect counter services which will be closed from today until May 14.

She advised the people to use its online services which can be accessed on its official website at www.mbsj.com.my or make transactions at its kiosk machines.
