KUALA LUMPUR: The nation recorded 47 Covid-19 deaths today, the highest recorded to date since the pandemic hit the country.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also tweeted that the cumulative death toll now stood at 1,994.
"Meanwhile 531 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICU) nationwide today, the highest since the pandemic struck the country.
"This includes 277 individuals who are currently on respiratory support," he said today.
