Alam Flora shows appreciation towards frontliners with Prihatin Kits

Kuala Lumpur: Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. (Alam Flora) will be distributing 1,100 Prihatin Kits to frontliners at several vaccination centres (PPV), Covid-19 Assessment Centres (CAC) and Homeless Service Centres in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor until July 15 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme.

Each kit contains a meal set, a hand sanitizer and an 'Alam Flora Prihatin' badge packed in a reusable food container.

Similar donations will also be distributed to a homeless service centre in Kuala Lumpur, operated by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), to further ease the burden of the homeless due to the effects of the pandemic.

According to Alam Flora chief executive officer, Datuk Mohd Zain Hassan, as frontliners themselves, Alam Flora understands the struggles that frontliners have to endure as they often face constraints in obtaining and buying food supplies while on duty.

Thus, they resort to asking their family members to send them food, risking the safety and well-being of their own families.

"It has been more than a year since the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented in Malaysia. Frontliners like us are equivalent to medical staff and volunteers, who constantly face various challenges and are put in high-risk situations. But it has never, in any way, dampened our spirit to give our best. This contribution is our way of recognising their sacrifices, dedication and commitment in combatting the pandemic."

Mohd Zain said this during the handover of the Alam Flora Prihatin Kits to Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Federal Territories Health Department director Datuk Dr P. Param Jeeth Singh at the Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya Federal Territory Health Department Headquarters recently.

The kits will be distributed to the vaccination centres at Dewan Sukan Pandamaran, Klang; Dewan Kelab Kilat TNB, Kapar, Klang and Dewan Seroja, Putrajaya. They will also be distributed at the Covid-19 Assesment Centres at Klinik Kesihatan Putrajaya Presint 9; Pusat Komuniti Bukit Bandaraya; Stadium Titiwangsa; Kompleks Sukan Sri Delima; Kompleks Sukan Bandar Tun Razak, Stadium Melawati, Shah Alam and Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) and Homeless Service Centres at Pusat Khidmat Gelandangan Medan Tuanku and Anjung Kelana (Pusat Transformasi Gelandangan) Jalan Desa Kuala Lumpur.
