Kelantan has highest Covid-19 infectivity rate

KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan has the highest infectivity rate or R-naught (Rt) nationwide for Covid-19 at 1.25 as of today.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this was followed by Terengganu at 1.19 and Sabah at 1.17.

Perak recorded 1.15, Penang (1.14), Kedah (1.13), Johor (1.12), Pahang and Sarawak (1.11), Negeri Sembilan and Putrajaya (1.06), Kuala Lumpur (1.05), Melaka (1.04), and Selangor at 1.02.

"All states recorded above 1.0 Rt mark while the infectivity rate at Perlis and Labuan is zero," he said in a statement today.

Dr Noor Hisham said Malaysia's Rt stood at 1.07 today.

The Rt has been fluctuating for the past few months with the most recent highest national Rt reported on July 15 at 1.20.
