KUALA LUMPUR: Negri Sembilan is the latest state in the country to move to Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) effective Friday.
Besides that, Pahang will move from Phase 2 to Phase 3 of the NRP, while Johor will be moving to Phase 2 from Phase 1 starting Sept 24.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob following the Pandemic Management Special Committee Meeting held earlier today.
"This transition of phases is in accordance with the NRP guidelines by taking into account hospital admissions for symptomatic cases, the use of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and the percentage of complete vaccinations.
"This decision is also made based on the current risk assessment made by the Health Ministry and the National Security Council (NSC).
"The standard operating procedures (SOPs) for states entering Phase 2, 3 and 4, are the same as before. The latest SOP information will be updated by MKN on the official website," he said in a statement today.
